After working with three of the biggest Main Contractors in the UK, Sam spotted an opportunity in the construction sector to set up a no hassle, friendly and collaborative sub-contractor to provide construction services to Main Contractors. This approach will build strong, long lasting relationships with our client base and secure the long term future of the business.
We want SRM to be the first and only name you think of when taking on a construction project.
Sam's construction journey started soon after he left school and has vital 'hands-on' experience of multiple trades on site. Although a qualified Quantity Surveyor, this allows Sam to not just analyse the commercial aspects of a project but also the production side. These early experiences have helped him throughout his career and have allowed him to make difficult commercial decisions based on all factors, not just cost.
Sam joined Wates Construction's highly regarded Commercial Management Trainee scheme and passed the course whilst being the commercial lead on a school extension in Coventry. During this time he passed his HNC in Construction and this year completed his degree in Quantity Surveying at Birmingham City University, obtaining a First Class Honours degree.
